Merry Christmas!!!
Since it is almost Christmas time I thought I would do a little giveaway. I didn't get to do much sewing or crocheting this year due to moving to a new house and having a baby. So with that, I would love to start 2014 out with creating some products. The best part is that I want to do this for free for one lucky person!!! So here's my idea for the giveaway: I would like to provide the winner's child with some mystery products that I would normally make for my shop. This could be clothing items such as a skirt, pants, vest, dress, or crochet item like a hat or fingerless gloves. (Bundle will be a $50 minimum worth of products.) I will even pay to ship the items to the winner. So here's how we will do the giveaway: Just enter using Rafflecopter below. When the winner is chosen at the end of the contest we will talk a little more about the child you would like the items to be made for. I will be choosing the items to be made, but I do want to get a feel for things your child may like such as favorite color, animals, etc. Also, because I plan on making a few things for your child it will take me some time to do so. Please don't expect to receive the items until January/February 2014. Thank you all for being so supportive of my shop! Good luck! I can't wait to create unique items for your child!
Contest begins 12/19/2013 and ends at 11:59pm on 12/21/2013. Photo shows just a some of my favorite items currently available in my shop.

So much for trying to post regularly on this blog this year! Here's a couple of new items recently added to my shop:
This one is the "Angry Bull" hat. Cute huh? This hat was a labor of love with all the details put into it. The pattern is from the super talented Boomer Beanies. I love making hats with her patterns because they are so nicely written. There is also a "nice" version of the hat but I haven't made one for photos yet.
Sizes available for order are 0-3 months, 3-6 months, 6-24 months, 3-10 years, and adult. These can be made in your choice of colors which is awesome if you have a bull as a mascot for your favorite sports team. Price is $35 plus shipping. As of now I have not created a listing in my Etsy Shop for the hat but it will be there soon. Orders can be placed via message on my Facebook Page or by email at MyLittleLadyandGentleman@yahoo.com.
The other hat that has made it's grand appearance in my shop this week is this one:
Does this bear look familiar? I love this hat because it can be made in a rainbow of colors. I used a soft, fluffy yarn on the muzzle and ear flaps. I imagine the ear flaps feel very nice on the face/cheeks. This pattern is written by Snappy Tots, who has some pretty unique patterns I love to use.
This hat can be ordered in sizes infant, toddler, child, and adult. Just like many of my other character/animal hats it is $20 plus shipping. It can be made in whatever color you'd like, which is perfect if you have multiple children you're buying for who all have different opinions on colors.
Wonder where I get such cute kids to model my items? Check out Tanzey Models facebook page. I've been using their adorable models for over a year now and love every single photo I get back. Now don't be shy, make sure you visit the page and become a fan. Let them know that I sent you because I really feel warm and fuzzy inside when people share my name in other places.

Giveaway!
Time for a Giveaway!
Every photographer needs a few new props to add to their collection, right?
Here's one of the hats that are in the prop bundle that I'm giving away. Precious!
I've been working very hard over the past year trying to gain fans and customers. Since I recently got caught up on orders after a nice break over Christmas and New Years I decided that I wanted to give something back to my loyal (and new) fans.
These six items are all in newborn or 0-3 months sizes. They were made to be used as photography props and should not be worn for everyday use. By the way, please don't judge my lack of photo taking skills on the items in the collage. I am NOT a photographer by any means! That is why I have to send everything to models.
Here's what will be given to the winner:
Bunny Tails Hat- pattern by Bella Rae Crochet
Halo 4 Layer Headband - pattern by RAKJ Patterns
Donegal Cap- pattern by Irish Hooks and Yarn
Boys Neck Tie- Pattern by Crochet My Love
Striped Long Tail Pom Elf Hat- Pattern by RAKJ Patterns
Pom Pom Jester Hat- Pattern by Inner Hooker
*Note to the winner- share some of the photos you take using these props so we all can see them!
*Shipping will be free for the winner
*Shipping will be free for the winner
Giveaway runs from midnight EST 1/19/13 to midnight EST 1/21/13.

Designing Minds Blog
I just got a few messages via Facebook and Etsy from Goose, aka Goosie Girl. She told me that My Little Lady and Gentleman was featured on Designing Minds Blog today. So excited I can't even sew right now in fear of messing up, lol. I'm going to try to calm myself down now but this was a very pleasant and unexpected thing to happen. I feel honored to have been chosen.

End of Christmas Break
Today is the last night of my "vacation" from my crocheting and sewing. I had a nice long break from it in order to get my house cleaned up, celebrating the holidays with my family, and spending some good quality time with my children. They have loved everything we have done the past few weeks. Tomorrow my daughter goes back to school and I am forced to go back to my regular schedule of sewing, crocheting, and house maintaining. I am so excited to sit in front of my sewing machine tomorrow morning. I'll happily admit that I missed it.
Yesterday I posted a giveaway I am participating in on Creations by D & T Canada's Facebook page. Check out yesterday's blog for the info. Today I have passed along info to participate in Boomer Beanies benefit auction. Last year Boomer Beanies held an auction for Liz at Playin' Hooky Designs and was very successful at raising her family a lot of money. Hopefully this auction will be wonderfully successful as well. You may read up on the information over at Boomer Beanie's Facebook page in the auction photo album. I decided to offer one pair of Girly Gauntlets (fingerless gloves) in grey and cream, or black and cream. They are adult size regular or large. Bidding has already begun on items that are in the album, and will last until January 18th.

Giveaway!
Giveaway time!
I mentioned yesterday that I was going to limit the amount of giveaways that I will participate in for the next few months. I am helping Creations by D & T Canada celebrate reaching 1000 fans on their Facebook page by offering an item in their giveaway which will open once they reach 1000. Look for the Method Headwrap once the giveaway opens. It's great for guys or gals, children and adults. My 6 year old daughter loves the one I made her.

What to expect in 2013
Happy New Year!
What a busy two months I have had! I am happy to say that I'm ready to reopen my shop this up coming week after a little break over the Christmas & New Year holidays. I am flattered that I'm already getting order requests and I'm not even "opened" for business. Since I have some orders coming in that meant that I got to do some fabric shopping. That really brightened my day, so thanks to those who want me to sew items for you, I love to fabric shop!
I finally sent out the last of the items I signed up for with Tanzey Models from their booking party (woo hoo!) I had a whopping 40 different models to send products to, and you can only guess how much money that cost me! So please bear with me if you don't see me doing many giveaways for the next few months. I need some time to make some cash to make up for all of my prior "investments".
Here's what to expect from My Little Lady and Gentleman this year- I plan on featuring particular items for purchase in a limited quantity and sizes each month. Some items available will be one of a kind, and then others may have one or two available to order in any size of your choosing (based on what the pattern allows). For example, coming up this month will be the Whitney trousers. The are from pattern designers Violette Field Threads. I will be making the pants using one or two particular fabrics of my choosing, in a few sizes that I think will be popular to my fans. Once they are finished and up for sale I will move on to a different item for February. Meanwhile, I will continue to take special orders and create one of a kind items. Once in a while I will buy double or triple the fabric needed for a particular item and offer it to be available for order in the size of your choosing. You may view items like this in my Etsy shop or on my Facebook page.
Hope this all makes sense and thank you all for giving me such great support in 2012. Here's to an awesome 2013!
